is there any difference between 50 hertz and 100 hertz in a lcd tv??
if so, what are the differences?? do I have to worry since I have purchased a 50 hertz lcd tv recently..
A TV signal is refreshed every one fiftieth of a second (one sixtieth in the US). This is a fifty Hertz rate, A 100 Hz TV creates an extra frame to insert in between the received frames and so refreshes at twice the rate of the received signal. (100 Hz or 120 Hz in the US). There are a variety of ways to accomplish this, and a number of ways to make use of this feature in order to improve the display of movies. If it’s done very well, it can make some improvement in their picture, otherwise it can make things worse. For the next few years, we will see the constant addition of new features and improvements in old ones in these TVs. If you are going to worry about missing them, you’d never buy a set. The changes that are coming will make small incremental improvements in the enjoyability of theses sets, although the marketing people will make it sound like you can’t live without the latest version. Enjoy your new set.
